Big Beach

Big Beach.  Saying it really fast with a slight accent and you might get misunderstood.  At least Mother thought Father said something else.

Say it slowly.  Big Beach.

 After breakfast of leftover poke, we got ready for the all-day beach day.  Once we loaded all our things into the car, it was a quick drive to Big Beach, which was, luckily, only slightly crowded.  Despite being a very famous beach, we found a spot quite easily and I dove right in to the water.   The waves were a bit rougher than what we're used to, but it was still fun.  We used some boogie boards to ride the small waves and made sure not to get hurt.  However, despite our efforts, Brother #2 managed to wipe out several times and hurt his back.  Luckily for him, nothing too serious, but there were some other beachcombers who were snickering in the background .  

Thanks to the waves, we started with 4 goggles, but ended the day with 1.  While the Brothers were swimming, the rough waves managed to pull the goggles right off of  heads of Brother #3 and 4's out to sea. The waves also managed to pull of Brother #4's rash guard off.  Luckily, after a few minutes of searching, I managed to find it buried under the sand, threatening to be pulled out to sea.

About midway through our day, a man got hurt from boogie boarding.  He dislocated his shoulder, but told the lifeguard he didn't need help.  After that, the lifeguard made an announcement saying that you shouldn't use the boogie board unless you're a professional, so we put the boards away.  The Brothers were a little disappointed, but were still satisfied with just riding the waves on their own.  Some time passed and some kids started riding their boogie boards, which made them want to ride as well, but Mother and Father wouldn't allow it.

I had some snacks after that and then went off to climb the large rock that separates Big and Little Beach.  I got a great view of the shore and had some fun "exploring" on my own.  However, my Mother didn't realize I had gone to climb the rock and had a mini heart attack when she saw me on the top.

After coming down, I didn't do much until we went back to the room, washed the sand off, and went to the pool.  I didn't stay long and went back to the room to shower.  Father went to grill some steak for dinner and once the Brothers came back, we all had a nice meal before chilling for the rest of the night.
