Zip Lining and Other "Adventures"

That doesn't stop him from suiting up!
Today, we leisurely woke up ate breakfast and got ready to go zip lining at Pi'Iholo Rach in Makawao.  It's my second time going zip lining with my brothers, the first time was in Belize during last spring break, so not too long ago. This time we were ready to tackle a more challenging experience! So I was pretty excited, however, brother #4 chickened out last time so he was pretty anxious.  Only the kids were going, except the Baby, and Father walked with us but didn't ride.

In our "gear"
The weather conditions were okay, it drizzled a bit on and off.  When we got there, we suited up and then made our way to the first line.  There were 4 total lines and each one of them was exhilarating and fun with great views.  Our guides were all very funny and informative.  We learned a bit about the Hawaiian wildlife and everything we needed to know about zip lining.  After the third line, we had some snacks which consisted of chips, drinks, and granola bars.  Last time, we had to stop by pulling down on the line with our gloved hand and you had to lightly hold onto the line with your hand so you wouldn't spin around.

However, on this one, we had a sort of "seat" so we weren't completely dangling and because the way the gear was designed, we couldn't spin around.  Also, there were automatic breaks and all we had to do was slow down rather than stopping completely on our own.

After the zip lining adventure, we went to a hiking trail called the Waohou Spring Trail, but we didn't go in too deep since my Mother was getting anxious and it was getting dark.  Along the walking trail we found some small tepees made from sticks and dried up grass, which was kind of interesting.  There was also a pair of pants at the entrance, and random socks along the trail which worried my Mother.  But other than that, nothing much happened.

Afterwords, we began to head back to our room, but then made a quick stop to Walmart, since Brother #2's tablet got broken and we wanted to get him a new one.  We also needed to get a GPS since we left ours at home and Mother didn't want to use up data on her phone.  I fell asleep, so they left me in the car with Brothers #1 and #3.  It was a quick 10 minute stop, and afterwards we made our way back to our condo.  One thing Mother wanted to note was how clean and reasonable the prices were at Wal-Mart compared to the other stores around the island...only if Target would come to Maui!
